About the Physician

Dr. Wynnshang Sun, MD, earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed the Primary Care Internal Medicine residency program at UC Davis Medical Center, then stayed an additional year as Chief Resident. Before establishing his La Jolla practice, he volunteered for four months at a hospital in Quito, Ecuador. Dr. Sun is a member of the American College of Physicians, the California Medical Association, and the American Medical Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Medical Society. He speaks conversational Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. The practice also includes Casey Fulinara, PA-C, a board-certified physician assistant with expertise in primary and preventive care.
