About the Physician

Peak Vitality was co-founded by Dr. Dan Kellams, DACM, FMP, L.Ac — Clinic Director, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM, earned 2020), licensed acupuncturist, and Functional Medicine Practitioner. Dr. Kellams earned his Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) in 2009 and completed his clinical internship at the prestigious Methodist Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. He is an avid researcher and nationally recognized educator in integrative therapies, traveling the country to consult and educate other clinicians on autoimmunity, chronic illness, and difficult cases. Co-Founder Dr. James Parsons, DC brings nearly 30 years of chiropractic and functional medicine experience, having established three successful clinics and treated over 10,000 patients. Medical Director Dr. Doug Minton, MD is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds certification in Age Management Medicine through Cenegenics — bringing hormonal and reproductive medicine expertise that complements the practice's integrative approach. Assistant Medical Director Terra Heit, RN, MSN, FNP-C holds dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, a Family Nurse Practitioner master's degree, and is a trained RGCC provider specializing in cancer support therapies including Supportive Oligonucleotide Therapy (SOT).
