Global Medicine | Dr. Monique Martin & Remi
Description
Global Medicine is a functional and integrative internal medicine practice in Englewood, Colorado — just south of Denver — led by Dr. Monique Martin, one of the most comprehensively credentialed integrative physicians in the Rocky Mountain region. Dr. Martin holds triple board certification in Internal Medicine, Holistic Medicine, and Integrative Medicine, and brings more than 25 years of experience blending evidence-based conventional medicine with the most effective modalities of natural, functional, and energy medicine. The practice reflects a genuinely global perspective: Dr. Martin grew up in Germany, where botanical medicine, homeopathy, and detoxification protocols are mainstream components of healthcare, and her clinical philosophy integrates this European foundation with formal training under some of the most respected figures in American functional and integrative medicine. Patients who come to Global Medicine typically arrive with complex, multi-system chronic conditions that conventional medicine has failed to resolve — and leave with a diagnostic clarity and treatment plan they have never encountered before.
About the Physician
Dr. Monique Martin is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Holistic Medicine, and Integrative Medicine. She earned her medical degree and completed a chief residency in Internal Medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix — the largest county hospital in Arizona at the time — with concentrated training in critical care, ICU, CCU, and geriatrics. In 2002, she completed Andrew Weil, MD's prestigious two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, and was among the first physicians to sit for the inaugural board certification exam in Integrative Medicine in 2015. She was also mentored by Gladys McGarey, MD, one of the founders of the American Holistic Medical Association, and in 2004 completed the Joe Helms/UCLA Acupuncture intensive — a 300-hour physician training program. Dr. Martin has followed Jeffrey Bland, PhD — the biochemist who coined the term “functional medicine” and founded the Institute for Functional Medicine — for more than 20 years. The practice also features Remi, a Nurse Practitioner specializing in nutrition consultations and personalized dietary protocols for complex metabolic and gut conditions.
